March 2009 - Dwyer featured composer at Bienalle in Brazil

Benjamin Dwyer will be the featured composer at the 3rd. Riberão Preto Bienalle of Music 2009 (Brazil). Dwyer's large-scale work, Scenes from Crow - based on the Crow poems of Ted Hughes - will receive its world première in its new multi-media installation version (with visuals by David Farrell). Dwyer also curates two further concerts of music by Irish composers to include John Buckley, Raymond Deane and Ronan Guilfoyle, among others. A documentary by Michael Dwyer and Tina Drohan, Where is the Black Beast? - which explores the making of Scenes from Crow and the Crow poems which inspired it - will also receive its world première at the festival, which takes place in September, 2009.
